Great piece. This paints a picture very similar to what Havel depicts in Disturbing the Peace. “NOBODY believed the bullshit” - that would be far more comforting. My father in law grew up in communist Hungary, but is 83 now, salted on Coumadin, Beta blockers, vaccines, and is a Maddow devotee. He’s forgotten where he came from and he’s not coming back. Though dark, your messages are very inspiring. The human spirit will not be kept down, even if Amerika must now live through a period of self-imposed, indulgent darkness.

George ~ That was a great historical reference piece with an awesome (LOL) ending! The timing of this piece is much appreciated as I am deep into the reading of Churchills, 'The Gathering Storm' (published 1948). And it just so happens that I am at the fall of 1938 when Hitler, again broke his word and stormed through your Czechoslovakia (after he raped Austria and said, in essence, with a hellish countenance to the European nations of that time, and Chamberlin specifically, "I am satisfied and need no more!"). All lies, while the German menace grew stronger and stronger by the month. The unfortunate reality to all of the aggression at the time was that the French broke their promise to the Czech State and did not come alongside her ally to fortify their defense, and to avert its sacrifice. Also, Chamberlain was on a campaign of appeasement with the madmen of the day, Hitler & his Duce, who were both too hungry for power and aggression in their vision for world peace. Peace would only come, in their minds anyway, when both England and France were no longer in power.

Have you ever watched a Great White shark attack and feed upon its prey? Their eyes actually role back into their heads as they chomp on their prize with all their focus and energy consumed while thrashing about their stick of meat, not realizing that the stronger and more calculating are watching. Its the same idea with the madmen of this day, their whole focus to control consumes their appetite as they thrash about trying to devour. Blind to any other logical persuasion other than their own endeavor to steal, kill and destroy all the good of humanity. The difference is that the good and reasonable are watching their madness and rush to judgement... All the while these power hungry fools are reveling in their insanity, while the good of humanity, inspired by the Divine, are emboldened for the sake of their children, their families, neighbors and themselves.

They do not react to the power hungry in their feeding frenzy. Instead, with purpose and resolve, they respond. Just as light is shed upon the darkness, driving away doubt and fear, exposing the truth that has been covered in lies and deceit.

Churchill wrote this account of history not only because of his unique positions and authority within the English gov't but also because of the large body of evidence that was later to be revealed thru the Nuremberg trials, to remind men and women in the future, today! Of this relentlessness and viciousness by the aggressor, the enemies of liberty and freedom who have risen up in many positions of authority throughout the world, spewing the false pretense of world peace and global preservation while they slowly devour your basic human rights and ability to freely move about, all the while feeding upon the carcass of tolerance and submission of the masses. Boy do the negative aspects of history have a rhyme to it.
