I have sent the following open letter to the editor of the National Post and a few other outlets…crickets. Posting it here and will tag the appropriate folks on Twitter. If you agree, please forward, copy/paste, disseminate far and wide. © remains George Grosman

Dear Mr. Trudeau,
My name is George Grosman. I am a Canadian citizen, born in Prague, Czechoslovakia and currently living in the United States. I am writing this letter to express my utmost displeasure and anger at the recent vote by your Government to keep the citizens of Canada segregated into two groups: one with full citizenship rights and one whose rights are conditional – and thus they are no rights at all but privileges a government grants or usurps.
A short family history will help explain my hot anger at what you and your government are doing to the country. My mother, Edith Grosman, passed away two years ago in Toronto, aged 96. Between 1942 – 1945 she was a prisoner in the most infamous of all of Hitler’s camps, Auschwitz. The odds of survival were miniscule but thanks to her optimism, her youth, her strength and her faith, she was one of the lucky ones. Her luck didn’t last long. In 1948, a mere three years after her liberation from Auschwitz, the Communist Party staged a coup d'état and my parents lived through the nightmare of Communism for decades.
When my mother, myself and my family finally arrived in Canada in 1980, we thought of ourselves as the luckiest people in the world. We were given permission in the form of landed immigrant visas, to live in the best country in the world. I established myself in Toronto as a jazz musician, producer and teacher. My mom worked for the Red Cross and after she retired, she devoted all her free time to traveling around the Province of Ontario to lecture middle- and high-school kids about the evils of the Holocaust, the evils of fascism and the evils of Communism. She always reminded them to give thanks daily for being born in freedom because without freedom there is nothing.
And now, Mr. Trudeau, you take it upon yourself – with the pathetic and shameful agreement of your government flunkies and the New “Democratic” Party sycophants – to steal that freedom. You have decreed, against all available scientific evidence, that unvaccinated Canadians cannot exercise their birthright and their constitutionally guaranteed right to travel in their country freely – by air, road or waterway. You have decreed that these Canadians be made into second-class citizens who need government permission (as the Soviets called it, a “bumaga”) in the form of a “vaccination certificate” to board a plane.
Perhaps you might like to know that the most sought-after barrack in Auschwitz, the place where everyone wanted to work because prisoners were treated better, fed better and clothed better, was nicknamed “Canada”. Even in Auschwitz, the prisoners knew Canada was a symbol of liberty and of plenty.
Shame on you, Sir, and on your government. I call on you to rescind the ridiculous restrictions, restore full constitutional rights to all Canadians immediately and then resign. It’s the honorable thing to do
Yours truly,
George Grosman

Bravo Mr Grosman! You are an inspiration. I will send this across my humble platforms in hopes of some glimmer of light and comfort for people living in this petty and bitter country at present.
Wow! I am taking the liberty to copy the Mayor of NYC and the Governor of NY State. Applies to them in spades just the same.
