some jumbled thoughts early Friday morning
Writer’s block has me in its grip. I’ve been trying to complete/edit a short story for weeks now and every time I come back to it and make small changes or corrections, I dislike it more. I started writing it with feelings of nostalgic affection and now I feel resentful towards it. But it’s not just writing. The Florida summer is in full swing and focus is difficult when your brain is melting. The other day I attempted to complete my winter bike route (8 miles). I turned back after doing less than a mile and my clothes were as wet before I hit the shower as my body was when I got out of the shower.
The Covid apparatus in the United States seems to have have gone through the stages of incompetence and maliciousness, finally reaching the stage of naked evil. We will now “vaccinate” toddlers for a disease they don’t get with a “vaccine” that doesn’t help. From “safe and effective” to “risky and useless”. It bears keeping in mind that the United States is the ONLY country using these mRNA concoctions on infants.
Our Dear Leader is a demented dunce. As far as I can tell, the United States, once the most dynamic and forward looking country in the world has the the most geriatric “leadership” of any country I can think of. Here’s a picture of the Prime Minister of Finland, and of the former Icelandic Minister of Justice
My supermarket shelves didn’t look too bad this week (I didn’t look for baby formula) Our preferred cat food was back on the shelf, though my favorite cookies have been MIA for many months now. Probably a good thing. Speaking of food, I have switched from regular milk to oat milk and I absolutely love it. I don’t have lactose intolerance, just really like the taste of oat milk - which until two months ago I had not even known existed.
I remain separated from my kids and grandkids by the “longest undefended border in the world”. I refuse to travel to Canada as long as their “ArriveCan” program is in place. It’s an app that lists your vaccination and testing status. Her Majesty’s Government - as represented by the stupidest and most spiteful politician in the West - Just In True Dough - will let me in, but only once I’m firmly ensconced in their database and thoroughly quarantined. Uncle Sam, as represented by Jo Bi Den and his chief medic, To Nee Fau Xi will let me in because I have recently acquired an American passport. Otherwise it’s still “nix nix” to filthy unvaxxed masses, unless they stream through the southern border, in which case no one gives a flying duck.
